My name is Daniel Russek and I love Music!

My 20 years experience as a school teacher has led me to form Songplay, in the hope of sharing the joy of music-making with as many people as possible. I want music production and recording to be accessible to every person who has an interest, regardless of their age, history or abilities.

I have spent a majority of my teaching career as a music teacher to students aged 5-19 with a severe physical or mental disability. It was there that I crafted a unique musical program that transforms lived experiences into music and ensures all are involved.

I believe EVERYONE can express themselves and create original music.

Songplay delivers dynamic, creative, and extremely exciting programs.

Qualifications and Important Stuff:

  • Bachelor degree in Education, University of Melbourne

  • Current registration as a teacher in NSW and Victoria

  • Current working with children check

  • Current NDIS worker check

  • 2015 Victorian Disability Sector Awards finalist - “Excellence in improving learning and development outcomes” award.

  • Experience working with a wide range of AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication)
